Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org/) rejoices in its one billionth download of version 3.5 of its Firefox browser .In typical Mozilla viral marketing frenzy, it had set up a website in anticipation of the occasion called One Billion Plus You (http://www.onebillionplusyou.com/) and was counting down to the one billionth download via Twitter (http://twitter.com/FirefoxCounter) and its Spread Firefox (http://www.spreadfirefox.com/news_events) website. As you may recall, last year, version 3 of Firefox set a new world record when it was downloaded eight million times in a 24-hour period.
With Microsoft withdrawing Internet Explorer as the default browser on Windows machines in the EU, Firefox can further expect to increase its already impressive market share of 30%. Version 4 is said to be on the works. Can't wait:)
