Telnic , the company behind communications-focused .tel names, has released a management app for .tel names, My.tel for Android, is now available for free download in the Android Market and direct from http://apps.telnic.tel (http://apps.telnic.tel).

.tel domain can be set up and run entirely from the smart phone. It acts as a single point of contact accessible from any internet-connected device, and the data remains under the control and ownership of the .tel name owner. Users can have access to online presence under their control, without having to touch a traditional PC, use any web development software or pay for hosting.

Other apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch are My.tel and Superbook, the 'one-click-save' .tel directory which also shows the location of contacts and their time zone. Additionally, applications that provide some management functionality and .tel information look-ups are available for BlackBerry, Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mobile devices. All of the applications are free and released under BSD-like open source license.
