The Google.com Engineering Team is one of the most visible and respected teams within Google, and the most mission critical. The Google.com Team is responsible for keeping the Google site and infrastructure up and running 24/7, 365 days a year. They are dedicated to the scalability and availability for the performance of Google applications.
They maintain, monitor, and improve all Google services.
This is a hybrid team consisting of systems administrators and developers with the following skill sets:
-Strong programming skills (C/C++), Java and or scripting skills PERL, Python or Shell
-Linux/Unix with strong system administration skills
-Understanding of networking (TCI/IP -OSI stack, DNS, etc)
-Lab system administration experience
-SQL and/or database admin
