The Linux Foundation (http://www.linuxfoundation.org/) has set a (https://twitter.com/linuxfoundation/status/52766453744672768) Participation (CFP) deadline for LinuxCon 2011 (http://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/linuxcon) . Call for Papers will be open until 4/22 .
The LinucCon will take place from 17 to 19 August 2011 at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver, Canada.
Suggested topics for the North American (NA) technical conference are Linux on mobile devices, open source compliance, cloud computing, optimising Linux in enterprise environments, the Linux kernel, virtualisation and file systems, as well as legal issues facing Linux and open source. Submissions can be either 45 minute presentations or panel discussions, or 1 hour technical tutorials – 1 hour Birds of a Feather (BoFs) sessions .

Standard registration costs $500 through 15 June; an early bird discount is available until the end of March. Late registration is $600 and student registration with a valid student ID is $100.
