TapRoot Systems, Inc., developer of software solutions for the smartphone market, has made TapRoot’s 3GPP 27.010 telephony multiplexor CSY for the Symbian platform opensource under the Eclipse Public License (EPL). The CSY enables serial communications for low-level data point-to-point technology, and is used as the basis for customizing the logic for specific interprocessor communications between the applications processor and baseband devices
Open source platform enables chipset manufacturers, handset vendors, and other developers to accelerate the time to create, qualify, and ship new mobile devices based on the Symbian platform.

TapRoot also provides assistance with any customization and integration work to further reduce the time-to-market.
